19km Marathon training run and no hypos!

Writer: ChloeChloe

I started with a blood glucose of 9.8mmols/l and fuelled with 58g rapid acting carbohydrates within the first 40minutes!

my blood sugars then stayed around 6.8mmols/l for the remaining hour and 10minutes.

I slurped electrolyte infused water throughout the 2 hours of my run.

Unfortunately I didn’t eat as soon as I got back and ended up in ketosis with raised ketones.

Tons of fluids and some salty crisps, cheese and crackers later my ketones came back into normal range. Phew…

Until next week!
